I Said What I Said

    So, lately I’ve been thinking of all of the survival advice that I have received in my lifetime, which was well intended yet led me away from commanding what I deserve.  No more!  No longer will I be accepting any excuses as to why I don’t deserve what I have determined I am worth; and that is on all fronts!  For most of my life I have heard that you have to be willing to work your way up, specifically professionally, yet all I see is lateral moves and justifications for underestimating and undervaluing me.  Presented opportunities are more often opportunities for me to put my development to the side in favor of trying to prove my value to another through furthering their agenda.  As beautiful as synergy is, the unfortunate truth is that most people are looking for that which fulfills and sustains them, and the desire to fulfill the self will lead them to justify taking more of the space, more of the resource until checked.  Likewise, people tend not to think that another can do what they do not believe they can do, so they will project their own perceived limitations and values onto you if it is allowed, and for far too long I have allowed it due to a desire to not crush the will and understanding of another.  This was negligent on my part because the reality is that most people are reacting to subconscious non-verbal cues versus conscious thought, and subsequently are acting in whatever capacity that they are allowed to, so it is imperative that I assume my proper position and act in the knowledge that I have.  So to any and all that have the opportunity to experience me now or in the future; I will no longer entertain your attempts to undersell my value.  Perhaps I am not your cup of tea, and that’s fine; please continue peacefully upon your way.  My time is precious and only available for those who are interested in Meeting, Enhancing, and Cultivating my value.  I have work to do, but I have certainly put enough skin in the game to be able to establish a standard on all fronts.  Miss me with anything else.  I said what I said.
